Before using the pond, please take a moment to read the guidance below to ensure safe and respectful enjoyment. Enjoy the pond — take your time, stay safe, and make the most of this unique natural setting.
Important Safety Information
The pond is unsupervised and used at your own risk. Please do not swim alone.
Children must be strictly supervised at all times, and only enter the water at the responsible adult’s discretion.
The water is naturally cold year-round, as it is continuously fed by an underground spring. Please enter slowly and take care.
The pond ranges between approximately 1m and 2m deep, with a natural clay base. It is not suitable for diving or jumping in.
Access to the water should be via the deck ladder only. The banks are steep and can be slippery — please do not attempt to climb in or out elsewhere.
A life ring is provided at the bathroom end of the cabin — please familiarise yourself with its location before entering the water.
About the Natural Environment
This is a natural pool, with aquatic plants including reeds, lilies and other vegetation. These are essential for filtering and maintaining water quality — please do not remove or disturb them.
The base of the pond is clay, and silt may be disturbed during use, causing temporary cloudiness. This will settle naturally over time.
The water is clean and fresh, but we recommend showering after swimming.
The pond is home to wildlife — including ducks, newts and dragonflies. Please enjoy observing them respectfully. If you’re lucky, you may spot a flash of blue from the resident kingfisher.Key Info
