Designed with performing artists in mind, Musician’s Cabin is a sanctuary for all. Whether you’re looking for creative inspiration or a restful retreat, it’s enchanted rural setting is the perfect escape for busy urbanistas.

Entering the cabin you’ll be greeted by a large open plan music room. The grand piano takes centre stage, with percussion instruments a plenty. Large windows open onto the deck and trees beyond, allowing the dappled sunlight to dance upon the hardwood floors. A wood burner, and generous kitchen completes the room.

The bathroom leads onto a secret outside couples shower with views into nature.

In the bedroom you will find a Chau Gong, for the ultimate gong bath experience.

Outside you will find a large wrap around colonnade, which we have designed with a large overhanging living green roof so you can enjoy the great outdoors what ever the weather.

In the centre is a secluded hot tub, so you can kick back and take in the stars, with views of our High Weald AONB ‘Dark Night Skies’.

Built Works

Built Works is a RIBA chartered architecture and design practice founded in 2020 with a vision to combine cutting edge technology with environmentalism.

The design for Musician’s Cabin specifically references the vernacular of traditional open Sussex barns, which are commonly found on the edges of fields.

Defined by their regular order of columns and low rectangular form with a horizontal emphasis, in this interpretation the roof has been removed to reduce visual impact.

Musicians cabin will be constructed from timber and hemp. Internally the cabin will have a warm, instrumental feel and externally the green stained timber will help it blend into the landscape.
